Wikipedia defines self-esteem as a person's overall emotional evaluation of his or her own worth. It is a judgment of oneself as well as an attitude toward the self. Self-esteem encompasses beliefs (for example, "I am competent," "I am worthy." and emotions such as triumph, despair, pride and shame. We're often shocked to learn about the stunningly beautiful and brilliant leaders who suffer from low esteem and insecurities.
The fact is, there's no such thing as a "fearless leader." Even the most successful and powerful people in the world deal with insecurities at some level or another. What makes them unstoppable is their relationship with courage. Bravery is a subject that has been largely misunderstood and miss-portrayed. What does it mean to be brave in 2014 and beyond?
