The USPA Battle of the Beasts in October, 2017 was the largest powerlifting meet to date in Alabama! The two-day event allowed 90 powerlifters of all ages to compete. We set and broke both state and national records. The meet was held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This was my first meet that had so many female lifters! It was great to meet new girls and women involved in the sport of powerlifting. My video shows some of the ladies I met and some of my lifts, both successes and failures. I ended up setting new state records for my age and weight class and a new national record for my age and weight class for deadlifting.
